Across the woods and between the mountains lies Lugos Valley

The region has never been peaceful: it is home to ravenous beasts, shapeshifting serpents, and legions of undead. But lately, a struggle between the lich Duchess Dragomir and her vampire husband Count Brasov has thrown the entire valley into a new level of turmoil.

Will you smite the undying duchess? Or will you slay her blood-sucking groom? Perhaps you will find a way to sort their conflict out diplomatically, or you’ll just destroy them both and take Castle Dragomir’s riches.

First things first: you’ll need to survive the night…

This third-party supplement for Shadowdark RPG includes:

  • Lugos Valley: A 5th- to 7th-level hex-crawl inspired by Romanian folklore.
  • Castle Dragomir: A new dungeon caught in a lovers’ quarrel between a lich and a vampire.
  • The Slayer: A martial class whose abilities are tailored to their chosen prey.
  • New Priest Options: Doctrines to replace turn undead.
  • New Witch Spells: To supplement the witch class from Cursed Scroll 1.
  • The Four Fortunes: A system that uses a deck of playing cards as an in-game storytelling device or a way to randomly populate adventures.
  • New Monsters: Including the fey-killing Muma, the disease-spreading samca, and several new types of vampires to delight and bite adventurers.

Content Advisory:
In addition to typical fantasy violence, this zine contains horror elements including mind control, cults, human sacrifice, kidnapping, torture, and child endangerment. It is the responsibility of both the players and the Game Master to ensure everyone has a comfortable, fun time during every step of the journey. If this means altering, talking around, or outright omitting sections of this text, so be it! You and your players are the ultimate authority on how to make this adventure one for the ages.
